Whirlpool Purging
Periodically purge the whirlpool pump, pipes and fittings in the following manner. Even if the whirlpool is used only as a soaker without the pump running, it will require periodic purging.
- Fill the bath with hot water
- Add a ½ cup of low foaming dishwasher detergent
- Run the whirlpool pump for 10 minutes
- Stop the pump and drain the water
- Refill the bath with COLD water
- Run the whirlpool pump for 5 to 10 minutes
- Drain the bath
Acrylic or Gelcoat Surfaces
The Acrylic or Gelcoat sheet which forms the surface of your bathtub provides one of the most durable surfaces found in modern bathrooms. Keep it bright and smooth with mild liquid household detergent, soap and water, or foaming cleansers.
NEVER USE aromatic solvents, abrasive cleansers scouring compounds or pads, strong liquid cleansers, or other material that could damage or dull the surface of the bath.
